The respiratory Early Warning System

Whether in intensive care, emergency treatment, in the recovery room or in other clinical areas, it is of the utmost importance, always and everywhere, to recognize respiratory situations that can lead to patient risk as quickly as possible. Parameters that lag behind breathing, such as oxygen saturation, are only suitable to a limited extent as they tend to result in a delayed alarm.

The ExSpiron®1Xi – monitor analyzes the patient’s breathing in real time through continuous, non-invasive and direct measurement of the minute ventilation based on the bioelectrical impedance. The alarm gives early and reliable warnings of serious consequences without any time delay. The medical staff always has a full overview of the patient’s respiratory condition. The patient is easily and conveniently connected to the ExSpiron®1Xi with adhesive electrodes.

ExSpiron®1Xi, a new dimension of monitoring:

  • Continuous real time monitoring of the most important respiratory parameters
  • Alarming without time delay
  • Non-Invasive
  • High patient comfort
  • CE- and FDA approved

The vibration vest for loosening secretions – Made in Germany

VibraVestTM works on the principle of “High Frequency Chest Wall Oscillation”, also called HFCWO. A series of small, battery-operated motors, which vibrate vertically on the patient’s chest wall and back, reduce the viscosity of the secretion and support the patient in mobilizing and coughing up the secretion. At the same time, blood circulation and lymph flow are promoted. All of this is done without a cable, hose or wire to an external device. The user can therefore maintain mobility during therapy, which in most cases leads to increased compliance.

In addition, the secretolysis with VibraVestTM works without compression on the chest. Pneumatically compressing the chest is usually uncomfortable for the user. VibraVestTM is available in 6 different sizes for children and adults.

Cube – Clear Design – Clear Operating Concept

Noninvasive Ventilation Made in Germany

Since 2014, the North German company JFR Medical Instruments GmbH has been developing and producing modern and innovative therapy devices for the treatment of respiratory insufficient patients. From the beginning research, development and production are exclusively in German hands.

JFR Medical uncompromisingly pursues the goal of combining the highest quality of therapy and the simplest operation with high economic efficiency. JFR Medical products not only meet the expectations of patients, healthcare professionals, and payers, but often exceed them.

The Cube III Pro devices are designed to provide day-to-day support to home-based patients suffering from apnea-induced sleep disorders of obstructive or central nature.

Cube 30 ATV helps patients with serious respiratory insufficiency as COPD, muscular, neuromuscular or restrictive ventilation disorders and other lung diseases.

Overlaps of the areas of application of the two Cube lines are commonplace. However, product design of both lines at the highest technical level is not commonplace.

PLBV – A new Mode for COPD Treatment

A better Life with COPD

For COPD patients and other pulmonary patients, the control of the so-called pursed lip breathing during exhalation is of vital importance. In this type of exhalation, the pressure gradient in the respiratory tract ensures that the lung is actually discharged physiologically correctly and is not over-inflated by collapsing airways.

But what happens to patients whose disease has progressed so far that they are dependent on mechanical ventilation with a constant pressure during the exhalation phase (PEEP / EPAP)? Even though some ventilators available on the market automatically adjust the pressure value of the PEEP, it remains constantly without profile during exhalation. But, just the pressure curve generated by the pursed lip breathing in the exhalation phase is necessary to ensure optimal emptying of the lungs.

The new and patented PLBV® algorithm of the Vigaro® ventilator from FLO Medizintechnik shapes the pressure gradient during exhalation in the same way as the pursed lip breathing.

Patients benefit from efficient exhalation, their respiratory muscles are spared and hyperinflation of the lungs is avoided. PLBV® in cooperation with the 4Q Trigger optimizes the entire respiratory cycle. The number of exacerbations with subsequent necessary hospital stays decreases significantly, which will be of interest to health care providers as well as cost payers.

Hifent – High Flow the new NIV

In many cases, the high-flow therapy of patients with insufficient respiratory rates is becoming a gentle, effective and well-accepted alternative to conventional NIV.

One of its many advantages is the lack of a ventilation mask. A pleasantly humidified and warmed air stream is delivered to the patient via an inconspicuous nasal cannula, similar to the oxygen therapy. Bad feelings, such as claustrophobia and subjective complaints through the ventilation pressure are avoided and the patient can continue his usual lifestyle almost unrestricted under therapy.

Under a high-flow therapy are everyday activities such as eating, drinking, reading, talking on the phone, chatting to relatives and visitors and much more, what makes life worth living, again possible. It is no coincidence that patient acceptance and thus compliance is certainly higher than with the traditional NIV.

RESPIRCARE Hifent High Flow units have a maximum flow range up to 80 liters per minute and two modes to meet the individual needs of both children and adults. The temperature control of the air flow up to 37°C can be adapted to the needs of the patients, with an always 100% relative humidification which makes the therapy a pleasant experience.

If required, the therapy air flow can be enriched with up to 100 percent oxygen and the FiO2 is not only monitored in the device display, but can also be automatically controlled by the Hifent device.

The intuitive user interface makes the application as easy as possible. Important therapy-relevant settings can be blocked for the home area.

Three different Hifent versions are available: two for the clinical area with and without FiO2 automatic control and another for the home area with a large humidifier volume.
